If I was Joe Biden

I'd shine a solo spotlight on a sound rigged podium, with a neon sign behind it that blinks "THIS IS OUR HERO", and then invite Senator Sanders to don what the Roman's called "Triumphal Regalia" and then mount the rostrum acquaint us with his thoughts .
The Pandemic is ruining every single one of Trump's deliverables, this is not his "9/11", it is his Hostage Crisis, every day more bad news, every day an even more cringeworthy briefing.  Meanwhile Joe keeps a low profile (albeit with regular pressers etc) and steadily gains in the polls while the President Rants and Falters.
If Joe was smart, he'd use this time for outreach to Sanders' supporters, giving the Vermont Senator a place at the table when the VP nominee is chosen is an excellent start.  I don't think Sanders himself wants the VP Nomination, revolutionary leaders never run for "Vice President" of anything after all, but I do think the schism in the democratic party must be bound up and a Veep acceptable to the Progressives is a good start.  The good news is, Joe and Bernie actually get along well, but the former VP is noted for his friendly demeanor.
If I was Bernie Sanders, I still wanna amass as many delegates as possible in order to put some pressure on the Party Platform, the Veepstakes is nice, but the Platform is the real ballgame for the Bernie-crats.
Joe won this thing on the strength of voters who were prepared to do anything, anything, to get out from under Donald Trump. Nonetheless Biden's short term goal is to arrange a soft landing for the progressives, this will be a test of his social skills, his acumen and perhaps even his luck.
