Who ever heard of a pundit swooning over John McCain?
Well practically all of them that is who...and after months and months of sifting thru useless old hacks like Fred Thompson or grinning vacuities like Mitt Romney, it would seem Jeff Jacoby has been forced to settle for John McCain as the candidate most likely to start a war with Iran soonest. He has to put up with McCain's famous temper tantrums, his ineffectual record in the senate and his apostasy on various issues, but Jeff will get his war with Iran at the very least.
Meanwhile there is time for McCain to start seriously flip flopping on the issues if he really does pull off an upset in New Hampshire.
These days that is the best a republican can hope for.
