You can't say though, that Congressman Tancredo didn't have a big influence on the 2008 republican presidential race, six solid months of his exquisite 19th century xenophobia and nearly the entire worthless pack were screaming to lynch all illegals soonest.
If that isn't sheer persuasive power then what is???

Of course, the issue itself polls very badly outside the GOP's hardcore trogs, so when Mitt, Rudy or Mike go down in flames next November, you can apportion some of the blame to Tancredo.
